"ART IS" is a piece I did playing with acrylics and my handprint. It will be cut into four cards for the challange on draw and painted atc group. hand and feet lol lol this was fun to do.  

My first painting in my series Those people series "Mermaid #1" is a 4x4 inch acrylic/ink on canvas board. Will be available as soon as I can put a protective coat. Weather is not agreeing with me to do so.  

Another Day is Here :)
I am hoping me kids will behave them selves. My daughter is going to her friends house today and not sure what my other two are doing yet.

Really missing my hubby he is working his new job at a computer store but staying part time where he is an airplane mechanic. So I only see him breifly at night before he crashes. I am really missing him.

As long as my kids behave I can keep busy with working on my paintings.
Will put one up to show you these will be available for sale on my website and maybe ebay when i can finally get the protective coat.

Well I am off to have more morning coffee. hee hee. maybe with french vanilla creamer today yummy.

Finally Got some art done :)
I finally had a chance while cooking dinner to create some art made a 4x4 inch painting and sketched out my next two painting in pencil will paint them tommorow. Well its thunderstorming again so I am going to head to bed.

Oh forgot to mention we had pizza and poker night at our house last night invited my daughters boyfriend and our friend from highschool. We had a lot of fun and I won over all yippppeeee.
And yes the pasta turned out awesome. lol

Not in the mood to create art :(
I have not created any art today kids won't stop fighting and its annoying me today. Just can't concentrate so I have decided to update and work on my website Art By Laura Jean .

Also I am having a dilemma really need some cash for some art supplies (my addiction is buying art supplies LOL ) Am pondering selling ACEO Cards. I want to stay true to artist trading cards. Couldn't I just consider them two totally different art forms. I am so confused about the whole deal. Any input would be wonderful. :)

I wish the kids would quit fighting all day. They are too bored to do anything with it raining outside.

Feeling a little bit frustrated today maybe cause of the rain.

Rain Rain Go Away !!!!
I am upset it is raining today :( I was hoping so spray a coating on my acrylic paintings I would like to sell. Living in a 4 plex with no garage makes it hard to spray whenever I want. Nebraska weather is so hot and humid sometimes can't seem to find a window of opportunity.
Guess I will just work on some more painting and hope for the just right weather the next couple of days.

I wish I had an art studio somewhere. Don't really have the money to rent or lease one and getting pretty crowded in our 2 bedroom apt with 3 kids and my hubby and I . My hubby and I sleep on a sofa sleeper in the living room we are so crowded.

My dream is to open an art gallery/ hangout for kids, teenagers and grown ups who need a place to create and hang out that are lower to mid income.

Don't even know where to begin with a project like that .

Oh well thanks for listening to my rambles. I am off to relax and paint.

Good Morning had a cup of coffee this morning now heading for my second cup. Yes I am a caffine junky lol. Helping my Kira with a project off of playhouse disney. She is needing my help to figure out how the face fits together. Kira learned how to use tube watercolors yesterday and now just loves them. My son Cody is working on some atc's with Sheep for a number/Math artist trade card swap on his kids trading group he belongs to.

On my drawn and painted atc group we are doing Secrets Atc challange. I have quite a few and some are bad and some are just wierd and hard to believe. Will be making some today so watch for the post. Probably post them tonight or tommorow morning. Well I am off to finish my coffee and go work on some atcs. Also have some kissing dominos to work on for a swap on the domino art group I belong to.

Finally done spring cleaning :)

I am so ready for summer. Got my house clean enough for my kids to have friends over lol. With all the cleaning I have not had time to create. WELL!!! I finally did some collage artist trading cards last night. I will post them. Today I plan on doing a lot of creating . :) Its suppose to rain today but the rest of the week looks pretty good with temps in 90's. Good weather to turn on air and create alot lol.

Also going to start on a few more project. I have been having fun decorating dominos the past couple of weeks also.
